Roylew and anybody else out there...ex Royal Navy only if you are on Facebook have a look at this site. The dit's are hilarious from 1960's onwards...dit's only ..pull up a bollard.

No, but they like you to have some connection to the RN, such has if a relative was in the navy.

First Mate...the criteria for joining is as a serving or ex serving member of the RN .Royal marines..Royal Naval Reserve .Sea cadets and royal fleet auxiliary OR have any family connection to the above in the past...or have worked in any service associated with the above...i.e. Babcock..or services supplying the above. I have delved into the rules and believe No one is turned away.

Thanks for the info BB, facebook isn't for me though. I sent a pal in Australia the link. He did over 25 years in the RN.
